Trying to source materials for booties

Well I finally tracked down the pattern for these little beauties but require crochet cotton 10, minute steel crochet hooks and 5mm beads - the hunt is on....

Feeling inspired

This clay has opened up a whole new sphere of possibilities - brooches , pendants, buttons for garments, quilts, bespoke poppies for Remembrance Sunday .... Any thoughts???

Buttons!

I have been admiring a wall hanging quilt by Lynette Anderson from her book Country Cottage quilting called Garden Scenes Quilt . She uses some hand painted buttons to embellish the design - I haven't been able to find any in the web so having been inspired I decided to design my own quilt with a garden theme and have a go at making my own buttons from Fimo Soft clay. Now I've never made a quilt from start to finish before and have never used Fimo but here goes ....

We Three Ships


We Three Ships

I recently joined Shropshire Quilters http://www.shropshirequilters.org/ and am really enjoying their monthly talks, The work some of the members do is really inspirational. If you are keen on learning how to quilt I would strongly recommend joining a local group. they often run workshop which helps to learn new techniques.
A coupe of months ago I went to a workshop on stained glass window quilting and am working on

Hexagons - venturing into patchwork quilting
